What material are the starcover covers made of?
Indoor Covers:
The Star Cover indoor covers are made from an innovative 2-layer combination of stretch lycra and polyester.
- Inside: Soft, scratch-free fleece for protection.
- Outside: Glossy polyester for strong protection.
- 4-way stretch: The material stretches both horizontally and vertically, ensuring a tight fit.
- Breathability: 5000 grams/m²/day, the highest in its segment, minimizing condensation.
- Material density: 180-190 g/m², making the cover lightweight and durable.
- UV protection: UPF 15, sufficient for use in enclosed spaces.
Outdoor Covers:
The Star Cover outdoor covers are made from a 3-layer thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
- Waterproofing: Up to 10,000 mm, offering excellent protection against rain, but less resistant to horizontal pressure.
- Breathability: 3000 grams/m²/day, preventing condensation and rising moisture.
- Material density: 280-290 g/m², making the cover strong yet lightweight.
- UV protection: UPF 30, ideal for prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Key Features:
Condensation: To prevent condensation formation, make sure to ventilate the cover and car regularly. Rising moisture: Can occur from ground moisture that condenses on the car.
What is TPU?
TPU stands for thermoplastic polyurethane, a waterproof and breathable material with excellent elasticity and strength, resistant to water pressure of 10,000 mm.
